These are some of the stunning postcards that have come to me from among the world's most remote places and islands, with a special focus on the scenery, wildlife and culture of Africa. If you live or travel in exotic places, send along a card to display on the site. See also "Africa Stamps" on Facebook or Contact: maravalman @ gmail.com
TUNISIA
This amazing multiview card came to me through Postcrossing, and shows the varied landscapes of Tunisia, including an iconic camel rider at top, and an oasis village below.
BARBADOS
This amazing landscape card shows the delightfully-named coastal town of Bathsheba, on the curving coastline in eastern Barbados. The card was franked with a stamp celebrating the anniv. of the Barbados Philatelic Society, and shows a colonial stamp and magnifying glass.
BANGLADESH
This awesome card shows the Sundarbans National Park, a 10,000 sq. km. wilderness of mangrove forest at the confluence of the rivers Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna. It is remarkable for Bangladesh, which is one of the most densely populated countries on earth. The card was franked with two colorful stamps promoting the World Solar Programme.
PARATY, BRAZIL
This awesome card shows the skyline of historical Paraty in Rio de Janeiro State. The birds at top include Brazilian and Green-headed Tanagers as well as a Green-barred Woodpecker.
