Wow, this amazing card comes from Lee in Ghana. It is a traditional village scene in the savannah region, and was franked with two awesome bird stamps: a Trogon and an Eagle. Super surprise to receive this!
These are some of the stunning postcards that have come to me from among the world's most remote places and islands, with a special focus on the scenery, wildlife and culture of Africa. If you live or travel in exotic places, send along a card to display on the site. See also "Africa Stamps" on Facebook or Contact: maravalman @ gmail.com
WOW! A great postcard came in this week (much-delayed) from Bairiki, Tarawa - capital of the sparsely populated Pacific nation of Kiribati. It shows an aerial view of the frighteningly low-lying atoll where the capital is located. Kiribati is one of the countries most at risk from sea level rise associated with climate change. The lovely stamps depict Scouts and a ship-to-shore ferry boat.
