SENEGAL

This great card shows boys scaling palm trees to harvest the fruit; the card was franked with stamps showing an antelope and depicting the Dakar Rally, an annual motocross competition

SENEGAL

This multiview shows varied scenes of Senegal, including the Corniche in Dakar (upper left), the grand Mosque, and my favorit: a rural river and village scene, most likely in Casamance

SENEGAL

This lovely multiview card comes from Dakar, Senegal in West Africa. The lower image shows a pirogue making its way across evening-tinged waters. My favorite image is the inset of baobabs in the twilight (center top).

Senegal: Paris - Dakar Rally stamp

500fr: this stamp arrived on the card above, and shows one of the most famous of races through the Sahara

SENEGAL

This card is one of the few I have received from Senegal, West Africa. This scene shows a typical ox cart plodding its way to a local market in the southern region of Casamance, located between the Gambia and Guinea-Bissau.

Senegal: stamps

These stamps were affixed to the card above, and show an elegant woman's profile and seashells native to the Senegal coastline
