This Ivorian card shows a typical market scene and a vendor of traditional clay bowls and pots, a lovely cultural scene perhaps taken in a rural town. The card is a production of renowned photographer Maurice Ascani, who captures the vivid colors in his collections.
These are some of the stunning postcards that have come to me from among the world's most remote places and islands, with a special focus on the scenery, wildlife and culture of Africa. If you live or travel in exotic places, send along a card to display on the site. See also "Africa Stamps" on Facebook or Contact: maravalman @ gmail.com
